Union Minister of the Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Scindia said all the leaders are united in their resolve to create a “stronger and more prosperous” Northeast.
According to an official

The session also reviewed important initiatives of the DoNER Ministry, including updates on major schemes and programmes, outcomes of the North East Investment Summit and Bankers’ Conclave.
The Ministry said leaders analysed youth-focused initiatives, efforts related to tourism and logistics, and the region’s unique selling proposition (USP) projects.

The North East Vision Plan 2047 seeks to provide a long-term roadmap for transforming the region into a vibrant hub of economic growth, connectivity, innovation, sustainability and cultural prosperity by the centenary year of India’s independence.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the Northeast has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the past 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with unprecedented focus on infrastructure, connectivity, and development replacing the region’s earlier image associated with
insurgency and underdevelopment.
Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma called for a comprehensive one-grid approach to connectivity, stronger investment promotion and accelerated implementation of the Northeast Economic Corridor (NEEC) to develop the region, an official statement said.
He said that the region, with its rich natural resources, vibrant human capital and unique cultural heritage, is strategically positioned to become a major driver of India’s future growth.
During the meeting, Lalduhoma submitted the final report of the High-Level Task Force on the Northeast Economic Corridor to the Union Home Minister and said the implementation of the proposed corridor would provide a unified framework for strengthening inter-state connectivity, tourism, investments, trade and logistics across the Northeast.
