How to write a poem
You wonder
How to write a poem
You ponder.
I say, it's no big deal
Put your thoughts on a paper
Whatever you feel.
Feel the zephyr
Brushing past your face
Imagine little leaves
Dancing with grace.
Feel the soothing hum of a song
Melting through your ears
Feel the golden glow of the Sun
Shining and saying, Cheers!
Feel the patter of the rain
Quenching thirst of the rivers
Feel warmth of a fireplace
That takes away the shivers.
Paper has more patience
than people
A poem is a story in rhythm
Like a drop with lasting ripple.
Write what you feel
It may make someone's day
It has never broken anyone
It may only heal
Hearts, minds and souls alike,
With its essence it will seal.
