Acting upon the strict directives of District Collector Raghavendra Singh, a robust joint task force comprising the Mineral Resources, Revenue and Police departments launched an aggressive campaign against illicit mining operations within the Patan Tehsil jurisdiction. The joint enforcement squad successfully confiscated a large cache of illegally stored sand in Hardua village and cracked down on an organised logistical fraud near the Garaghat Toll Plaza. Providing details on the operation, District Mineral Officer A K Rai stated that the surprise inspections were executed under the direct guidance of SDM Patan, Shristi Prajapati and led operationally by SDOP Sihora, IPS Aditya Sinha. During raid at Village Hardua, the task force intercepted an illegal storage depot holding approximately two high-capacity Hyva truckloads of minor mineral sand. Furthermore, a heavy-duty Poclain excavation machine found abandoned at the site was formally impounded.

The seized mineral and heavy machinery have been safely secured under the official custody of the Station House Officer (SHO) Patan, pending further statutory orders. A comprehensive legal report is being submitted to the Collector to initiate formal confiscation proceedings. In a parallel development during the same enforcement drive, the squad intercepted an illegal operations hub near the Garaghat Toll check-post. Authorities recovered a counterfeit bill book actively being utilised to facilitate the unlawful transport and unauthorised trading of mined sand.

The fake receipt logbook was officially seized from the possession of Govind Dhurve, son of Prakash Dhurve. Finding prima facie evidence of deliberate economic fraud and involvement in systemic illegal sand cartels, law enforcement authorities formally registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Patan Police Station against the involved entities. The highly coordinated inter-departmental crackdown saw active field participation from Patan Tehsildar Sachidanand Tripathi, Patan SHO Govind Singh Rajput, Mineral Inspector Vivekananda Yadav, alongside local Patwaris, Home Guard personnel Mahendra Patel and a large contingent of administrative forces.
