THE five-day monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will begin at 11 am on Monday. The monsoon session will be held from July 13 to July 17. A total of five sittings will be held. Question-answer hours, financial matters, and over 8 legislative amendment bills will be taken up during the session. The monsoon session may be stormy.

 

The main opposition Congress party may raise various issues like demolition of houses of the villagers at Nakti village in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, deteriorating law and order situation in the state, cutting oftrees in Hasdeo Aranya for mining and other works during the monsoon session. The opposition Congress has chalked out strategies to corner the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the House during the session on various issues. Meanwhile, the ruling BJP has also chalked out strategies to give befitting reply to the opposition Congress in the House during the session.
