Do not insist unnecessarily on CIBIL scores for crop loans says Adv Ashish Jaiswal

A REVIEW meeting on crop loan disbursal and farm loan waiver implementation in the Ramtek Assembly constituency was held on Monday at the conference hall of the Sub-Divisional Officer’s Office in Ramtek. The meeting was chaired by Maharashtra Minister of State for Agriculture Adv. Ashish Jaiswal. Addressing the officials, Minister Jaiswal directed banks not to insist unnecessarily on CIBIL scores while sanctioning crop loans to farmers and to ensure that no obstacles are created in the crop loan disbursement process. He further instructed that eligible farmers who have already benefited under the farm loan waiver scheme should be provided fresh crop loans as per the prescribed norms.
 
The Minister also emphasised the need to extend the benefits of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme to a larger number of beneficiaries engaged in agriculture and allied activities. He directed the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps to achieve wider coverage. Jaiswal also instructed officials to submit proposals under the Interest Subsidy Scheme to the Government within the stipulated timeframe and to ensure the effective implementation of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme. He further directed that when a digitally signed 7/12 land record extract is available, banks and officials should not insist on an additional signature from the Talathi. Among those present at the meeting were District Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies Ajay Kadu, Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Priyesh Mahajan, District Lead Bank Manager Ghanshyam Patle, Ramtek Tehsildar Ramesh Kolpe, Parsioni Tahsildar Suresh Waghchoure, Mouda Tahsildar Dinesh Nimbalkar, former Zilla Parishad member Sanjay Zade, President of the Shetkari Baliraja Pandan Road Association Bhumeshwar Chafle Bhumeshwar, Assistant Registrars Mouda, Ramtek and Parsioni, along with bank managers and officials from across the Ramtek Assembly constituency.
