The Chhattisgarh Government on Monday carried out a key administrative reshuffle in the Raipur Police Commissionerate, transferring and appointing three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs). The Home (Police) Department issued the transfer orders with immediate effect.
According to the official notification, Tarkeshwar Patel, who was serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone) in the Raipur Police Commissionerate, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone).
In another significant transfer, Deepmala Kashyap, who was posted as Superintendent of Police, Special Branch, Bilaspur, has been appointed as
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Zone), Raipur, strengthening the commissionerate’s field policing setup.
The Home Department has also assigned Archana Jha the charge of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic & Protocol), Raipur. She was earlier serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters, Training, District Special Branch, AJAK and Child Welfare Committee) in the commissionerate.
“The latest reshuffle is part of the State Government’s ongoing administrative exercise aimed at streamlining policing, strengthening field supervision and enhancing operational efficiency within the Raipur Police Commissionerate,” said a senior IPS official at Police Headquarters (PHQ), adding further that the newly posted officers are expected to assume charge shortly.
