Assembly passes proposal thanking Centrefor eradication of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh

CHHATTISGARH Legislative Assembly on
Tuesday late evening passed a proposal
expressing gratitude towards the Central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and
Union Home Minister Amit Shah for eradication of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh in the absence
of the opposition Congress. The proposal was
passed with voice vote in the House.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai tabled the
proposal expressing gratitude towards the

for eradication of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh.

Participating in the discussion, Chief
Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude
towards the Central government, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home
Minister Amit Shah for making Naxal free. He
stated that Chhattisgarh had faced a grave
challenge in the form of Naxal violence for
decades. Now, through the coordinated
efforts of the Central and State governments,
the indomitable courage of security forces,
and the trust and cooperation of the people of Bastar, the State has decisively overcome this challenge and entered a new era
of peace, security, and development. He
stated that this success is the result of years
of sustained efforts, a well-planned strategy, the valour of security forces, and the cooperation of ordinary citizens.
While paying humble tribute to the martyred soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the fight against Naxalism, the Chief
Minister stated that their sacrifice and dedication would continue to inspire the nation.
He commended the courage, dedication, and
professional competence of the Central
Armed Police Forces, Chhattisgarh Police,
District Police Force, Special Security Units,
and all security agencies that participated
in the operation.
The Chief Minister stated
that under the leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, the Central Government had
adopted a coordinated security and development-based strategy for Naxal-affected
areas. Under the guidance of Union Home
Minister Amit Shah, the continuous review
of security operations, the availability of
resources, and enhanced coordination
between the Centre and the State were
ensured, thereby imparting the desired
momentum to the campaign.
He stated that a special campaign has
been launched in the Bastar division to
ensure the saturation of Central and State
Government welfare schemes. As a result,
ration cards have been issued to 6.79 lakh
families. Jan Dhan accounts have been
opened for 17 lakh people in the Bastar division. Aadhaar cards have been generated
for 24.66 lakh people, and Ayushman cards
have been issued to 22 lakh people.
Additionally, individual forest rights certificates have been granted to 1.18 lakh people. Additionally, Kisan Credit Cards have
been issued to 389,000 farmers, he added.
He stated that the construction of the
Raipur-Visakhapatnam Expressway is in its
final stage. This project will connect Bastar
to the country’s major economic and industrial regions, while also giving fresh impetus to tourism, trade, and investment.
Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh,
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma also
commended the support of the Central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and
Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar
Kashyap, whose family suffered Naxal incidents, burst into tears while participating
in the discussion in the House.

MLAs Kiran Singh Deo, Chaitram Atami,
Lata Usendi, Neelkanth Tekam, Vikram
