The Madhya Pradesh High Court did not hear cases related to OBC reservation and reservation in promotion on Monday. The court clarified that the inclusion of these cases on the cause list on July 14 was an administrative error. A division bench of Justice Anand Pathak and Justice Vinay Saraf stated that the hearing of these 91 cases would be held as scheduled on July 15, starting at 2.30 pm. This puts an end to discussions surrounding the day-long hearing. Senior Advocate Rameshwar Singh Thakur pointed out that cases related to OBC reservation were included in the cause list, even though the hearing for this batch was already scheduled for July 15.

The court was informed that despite the order for continuous hearing, the cases were mistakenly listed on July 14 list due to administrative reasons. The court clarified that there was no hearing on these cases on Monday. HC also clarified that regular hearings of all cases will resume as scheduled, starting July 15. Justice Vinay Saraf will preside as a common judge in these cases related to OBC reservations and reservations in promotions. Thousands of candidates and Government employees across MP are closely watching Wednesday’s hearing, as these cases could impact future recruitment and promotion processes.
