A large numbers of activities of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a massive demonstration at a private school over alleged attempts to pressure employees into religious conversion. The demonstration led to a confrontation with police and minor vandalism inside the school premises. According to the protesters, Hindu employees working at the school were allegedly being pressured to convert to Christianity. They claimed that workers who refused to convert were threatened for sacking from their jobs. Office-bearers of VHP and Bajrang Dal also handed over a memorandum at SP Office demanding to register case and apprehending the persons involved in religious conversion. The protesters said they had received complaints from some school employees regarding the alleged coercion. Following these complaints, around 50 members of Hindu organisations reached the school and attempted to enter the campus.

Police personnel deployed at the spot tried to stop them, resulting in a scuffle and pushing between the two sides. The protest continued for nearly an hour, during which some damage to school property was also reported. One of the complainants, Rajesh Kumar, a sanitation worker at the school, alleged that he is employed there for the past 12 years. He claimed that for the last three months he had been repeatedly pressured to visit a church and convert to Christianity. Following the incident, police from Vijay Nagar, Madhotal and other nearby police stations reached the school and brought the situation under control by dispersing the protesters from the campus. After the protest, members of the Hindu organisations warned that they would launch another agitation if similar complaints emerged in the future.
