CENTRAL India’s only international karate referee, Nagpur’s Dr Zakir S Khan has been selected to officiate as an International Referee at the prestigious 10th Cadet, Junior, Under-21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championship and the 2nd Under-14 South Asia Karate Cup under way at Shaheed Sohrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 

The championship is organised by Bangladesh Karate Federation under the auspices of the South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF). Dr Khan, who is a 8th Dan Black Belt, has the distinguished credentials of Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Judge and Referee. Apart from his international officiating career, Dr Khan serves as the President of Karate-Do Association of Nagpur District and as the Chief Technical Director for MITSUYA-KAI Hayashi-ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do India & Kobu-Do. He is also the Deputy Director of Physical Education and Sports at Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology in Sadar.
