Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has started shooting for her new film Ragini 3, the latest installment in the horror franchise, in London. The film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, is slated for a theatrical release in 2027, the makers said. Billed as a "date night horror" entertainer, Ragini 3 is expected to blend horror, romance and comedy while taking the franchise in a new direction. Tamannaah shared the update with fans on Instagram Stories, posting a behind-the-scenes photograph holding the film's clapperboard. The Ragini franchise began with Ragini MMS (2011), starring Kainaz Motivala and Rajkummar Rao, followed by Ragini MMS 2 (2014), headlined by Sunny Leone. The franchise later expanded with the streaming series Ragini MMS: Returns, starring Karishma Sharma, Siddharth Gupta and Riya Sen. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms, Ragini 3 is currently being filmed in London.
