Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday announced that paddy farmers in Madhya Pradesh will now receive benefits under the State’s Bhavantar Yojana as the Government will compensate farmers for the gap between the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the market price. Addressing the state-level Dhaan Mahotsava (Paddy Festival) in Seoni, Chief Minister said farmers are the backbone of the state's economy and reaffirmed the government's commitment to their welfare. He highlighted that Chhattri paddy has received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag, calling it a global recognition of the region's traditional agriculture. Dr Yadav also transferred Rs 2.84 crore as a bonus to 3,941 millet (Kodo-Kutki) farmers under the Rani Durgavati Millet Promotion Scheme at the rate of Rs 1,000 per quintal. Additionally, Rs 365 crore in financial assistance was released to over 16,700 labour families under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) 2.0 Scheme.

Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 629 development projects worth Rs 494.16 crore. He also announced a four-lane road from Balaghat to Seoni, a government college in Chamari village, mini stadiums in every Assembly constituency of Seoni district, and a Nagar Van in Chhidiya Palari. Dr. Yadav said the state government would soon introduce a proposal to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), while keeping tribal communities outside its ambit. He claimed that over one million people had supported the proposal. Emphasising crop diversification, the Chief Minister urged farmers to adopt livestock farming, fisheries, and millet cultivation alongside traditional crops. He also participated in paddy transplantation in a farmer's field, interacted with farmers, and shared a traditional meal, describing it as his first experience of transplanting paddy and a memorable one.
