ACTOR Vivaan Sharma has heaped praise
on his Raakh co-star Sonali Bendre,
mentioning that he learnt a lot about
acting just by observing her at work.
Calling her 'a very kind person' and revealing
that simply watching her perform taught him one
of the biggest lessons about acting, that it is much
more than delivering dialogues.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS,Vivaan
opened up about his experience of sharing screen
space with the 90s crush, and the important lessons he picked up while working alongside her.
Talking about Sonali Bendre, Vivaan said, “It
was wonderful. I shared several scenes with her
and learned a great deal from observing her.”
He further added, “One of the biggest lessons
I learned is that acting is not only about dialogue.
Sometimes your expressions communicate emotions that words never can.”
Calling Sonali an extremely warm and supportive
co-star, Vivaan shared, “Sonali Ma’am is a very
kind person.
We even participated in workshops
together to build a believable bond between our
characters. It was a warm and enriching experience, and we connected very quickly.”
Talking about Raakh, the show is a crime-drama series inspired by one of India's most shocking real-life criminal cases of the Geeta and Sanjay
Chopra kidnapping and murder case, popularly
known as the Ranga-Billa case.
For the uninitiated, Sonali essays the role of
the grief-stricken mother, who is left shattered
after the ruthless killing of her children.
Vivaan Sharma plays the role of Sahil Arora based
on real-life Sanjay Chopra.
Since its release, Raakh has been receiving positive reviews for its gripping storytelling and stellar performances.
