EFs in 163 polling parts fully digitised as SIR gathers pace in distt

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the district has gathered momentum, with 163 polling parts achieving 100 per cent digitisation of Enumeration Forms (EFs) by July 20. The latest figures released by the Election Commission show that 15,97,532 enumeration forms have been digitised, accounting for 34.44 per cent of the district’s 46,38,589 electors. The data also shows significant progress in fully digitised polling parts. Kamptee tops the district with 69 polling parts achieving 100 per cent digitization, followed by Ramtek with 44 and Katol with 21. Umred has 16 such polling parts, while Saoner has Seven, Hingna Four, while Nagpur South-West, and Nagpur East have One each. Rural constituencies continue to outpace urban areas in the digitization drive. Ramtek Assembly constituency has emerged as the best performer, with 68.65 per cent of its 2,90,865 electors covered, followed by Umred at 64.87 per cent.
 
Katol has achieved 52.04 per cent, Saoner 51.45 per cent, Kamptee 48.27 per cent, and Hingna 38.05 per cent. The rural segment has collectively digitised 11,40,248 forms, achieving 52.05 per cent completion against its electorate of 21,90,707. In the city, however, the pace remains comparatively slower. Nagpur Central leads the Six urban Assembly constituencies with 25.25 per cent digitization, followed closely by Nagpur East at 24.97 per cent and Nagpur South-West at 23.09 per cent. Nagpur West has completed 14 per cent, Nagpur North 13.94 per cent, while Nagpur South has recorded the lowest progress at 11.80 per cent. Overall, the six city constituencies have digitised 4,57,284 enumeration forms out of 24,47,882 electors, translating to 18.68 per cent completion.
 
Meanwhile, electors have also begun submitting Enumeration Forms directly. 10,251 forms had been submitted online by voters themselves. As of July 20, with Nagpur West recording the highest number at 2,141, followed by Nagpur North (1,944) and Nagpur South West (1,247). The Election Commission is continuing the digitization drive through Booth Level Officers across the district.
