HYDERABAD :
A TRAINEE IPS officer, who was
booked for allegedly stalking and
sexually harassing a fellow woman
trainee at the SVPNPA here was hospitalised on Monday after a suspected
suicide attempt, police said.
A doctor treating him said the
trainee officer was brought to the
private hospital in an unconscious
state by his brother and friends at
around 9.30 am, who suspected that
he might have consumed some
harmful substance. The doctor said
that a stomach wash was performed
and nothing “abnormal” was found.
The blood and urine samples
were sent for tests and his vital parameters were stable, the doctor told
mediapersons.
A 30-year-old woman trainee IPS
officer, had lodged a complaint with
police, accusing the fellow IPS officer trainee of harassing her by sending sexually abusive messages
through an instant messaging app
since June 23 and also making
derogatory comments about her
within the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
National Police Academy (SVPNPA)
in front of her friends.
