Swara Gandhi of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti branch clinched the 16th St Vincent Pallotti Memorial Chess title in girls High School round . Swara garnered eight points to emerge clear winner. She was followed by Prisha Boyar of Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar and Abhaya Chaore of PIS, Katol Road, both who collected seven points each. In Primary School girls category, CPS, Wardhaman Nagar’s Madhura Bhoyar emerged winner with 7.5 points in her kitty. Sacred Heart Academy’s Sanvee Meshram stood second (7 points) while Narayana Vidyalayam’s Diwija Sakale ended third with seven points. In Junior College section, BVM, Civil Lines’ Madiha Khan took the winner’s trophy with four points while Sparkle Zunzunwala of CPS, Dabha finishe second and Akshaj Shahe of SVPS, Mankapur finished third.
 
The Primary Boys title went to Divit Motwani of DPS, Kamptee who collected 7.5 points. Sharvil Bagde also of DPS, Kamptee took the second spot with seven points and Parth Shinde of BVM Civil Lines finished third (7). Sahajveer Singh Maras lifted the High School boys’ trophy with eight points. He was followed by Rishik Rekhi of BVM, Ashti (7.5) and Kushagra Paliwal of CPS, Dabha with seven points. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Dr Renu Tiwari, Vice-Principal, Seth Kesrimal Porwal College, Kamptee. Rev Fr Siju Jose, Head Administrator, St Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology was the guest of honour. Principal Rev Fr Shine Augustine, Manager Rev Fr Anto Kaitharath, Dr Chhaya Shishir Janbandhu, Organising Secretary of the championship, Praveen Pantawane, arbiter, along with distinguished supervisors, school representatives, coaches, parents and participants were also present on the occasion. The winners of the championship were honoured with trophies, medals, certificates, and prizes. Following special prizes were awarded: Youngest Participant (Boys): Tadashi Jode (Bishop Cotton CBSE School). Youngest Participant (Girls): Khushwi Badwik (Bishop Cotton CBSE School). Maximum Participation Award: St Vincent Pallotti School, Besa.
