MADHYA Pradesh is currently experiencing a dynamic spectrum of weather conditions. While scattered spells, gusty winds, and thunderstorms keep various districts on edge, a significant weather system brewing over the Bay of Bengal is poised to influence regional meteorological patterns over the coming days. Shahdol division witnessed widespread rainfall at most places, while Ujjain saw showers at many places. Bhopal, Indore, and Narmadapuram received rainfall at a few places, with isolated pockets getting wet in Gwalior, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Sagar divisions, while the rest of the state remained largely dry. Temperatures fluctuated moderately, with maximum temperatures rising by up to 2.8°C in the Shahdol division and remaining above normal by 1.7°C to 4.9°C across Gwalior, Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar, and Narmadapuram divisions. Temperature extremes:The State’s highest maximum temperature reached 36.5°C jointly in Chitrakoot (Satna) and Prithvipur (Niwari), while the coolest night was recorded in Pachmarhi with a refreshing minimum of 19.4°C. Seasonal Rainfall Status (June 1 to July 26):Cumulative rainfall across Madhya Pradesh stands at 15% less than the long-period average, with Eastern MP lagging by - 18% and Western MP by -13%. The weather activity expected alongside alerts for lightning and wind surges.

 

Isolated places (drizzle/thunderstorms): Expected across Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Rajgarh, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, and Sheopur districts. Scattered spells at a few places: Anticipated over Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Narsinghpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Maihar districts. Widespread rains expected to affect Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, and Pandhurna districts. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 30 to 40 km/h are very likely at isolated locations across virtually all districts of the state. Bhopal and neighbouring forecast The capital city can expect a generally cloudy sky with possibilities of thunderstorms, lightning, and rain. Winds will blow at 12–14 km/h, with temperatures hovering around a maximum of 29°C and a minimum of 23°C. A gradual decrease of 2°C to 3°C in temperatures is expected across Eastern Madhya Pradesh over the next three days.
