ADHARTAL Police arrested a 20- year-old boy for possessing an illegal firearm and seized a 0.32 bore pistol along with one live cartridge during a late-night patrol on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Shreyansh Gupta, son of Shyamlal Gupta, a resident of Shankar Nagar near Muktidham in Suhagi, Adhartal.

 

According to Adhartal police, the action was carried out as part of an ongoing drive against illegal arms and narcotics launched on the directions of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by SHO, Adhartal, Vipin Tamrakar reached near the Hanuman Temple at Adhartal Talab and trapped the suspected man.
