FROM August 7, the Chief Minister, ministers and senior officials will visit wards and panchayats every Friday to directly hear and solve public complaints. This important decision has been taken in this regard during a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday in Bhopal. The meeting, led by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav in Bhopal, announced major decisions, including the launch of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan and fast-track courts for paper leaks, in the State. Briefing on the Cabinet’s decision, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh stated that State Government is going to launch the ‘Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’ from the next month. It will focus on issues such as the Public Service Guarantee, Ayushman Yojana, CM Helpline, Jal Jeevan Mission, Anganwadis, and matters pertaining to farmers issues etc. Through this campaign, there will be monitoring of implementation of various Government schemes in ground. Since officials will accompany ministers, it will help to remove the deadlock for smooth functioning of decision/scheme.

 

The campaign will emphasise dialogue, resolution, sensitivity, and simplicity. No additional funds will be spent on the campaign, and large tents will not be erected. Singh said that ministers would first visit their assigned areas of responsibility, though they could also visit their own constituencies; the Chief Minister would also undertake visits. Adjustments and improvements will be made based on experiences gathered within a week or two of the campaign’s launch. Panchayats in rural areas and wards in urban areas will serve as the operational units, with specific locations selected for each event. The Government is committed to curbing corruption and irregularities through this initiative, and strict action will be taken in such cases. Notably, Chief Minister earlier announced establishment of fast track courts in connection with paper leaks, so the decision has also been taken in this meeting. To resolve youth and paper-leak related legal cases within three months, fasttrack courts for paper leaks will be set up in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
