TOM Holland is returning as the Spider-Man for a fourth time with Spider-Man:BrandNewDay and the actor hopes that he will get to have more adventuresas thewebcastingsuperhero. The new movie is set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home where Peter requested Dr Strange to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again and erase him from everyone's memory, including his girlfriend MJ and best friend Ned. "There's a family here at Marvel and Sony.We've been making these movies for 10 yearsandwe'reallreallygood friends and we all still really love working with together and there's a shorthand, there's a collaboration, there is a shared love for this character that is Peter Parker. When we all get together, it always feels like something magical happens, and to get to do it time and time again is something that will never really sink in for me. It still feels like this is my first-ever premiere for this character.It has been the gift of my life," Holland told the Hollywood Reporter. TomHolland also operates onahighlevelofself-criticism andself-awareness.The actor iscurrentlyon apress tour for both his films The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While the actor said that he’s fond of the movies, that hasn’t always been the case. He said, “I’m absolutely lovingit.Whenyou’redoingpress formoviesyou’re reallyproud of, it’s really easy because when they ask you questions about why should people go and watch this movie, you’re not lying to anyone.You really feel like people should go see it”. Hefurthermentioned,“I’ve had experiencesbeforewhen people say, ‘Why should you see this movie?’ And in the backofyourmind,you’relike, ‘You shouldn’t, because it’s sh**’”.

 

The actor shared that he is extremely proud about both the films, as he said, “It’s felt reallylike abitof a victorylap, to be honest. I’ve really enjoyedit. I’m super proud of both of the films”. Elsewhere during the conversation, the actor revealed that he’s learned more about the artofdoingpress fromhis The Odyssey co-star, Anne Hathaway.“I’vehad thepleasure of sitting down with Anne Hathaway for the last three daysanddoingpresswithher. For me, that’s been an awesome learning experience. She’s such a pro”, he added. Meanwhile, Tom Holland movedmountains toworkon ace filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic ‘The Odyssey’. The actor revealed that he had an “uncomfortable conversation”withSonyPictures boss Tom Rothman about delaying the production of Spider-Man:BrandNewDay so that he could film Christopher Nolan‘s epic instead, reports Variety. When Nolan first offered him theroleofOdysseus’son, Telemachus,bothmovieshad identical production start dates. He told GQ magazine, “So Isaid toChrislike,‘Look,Iwant to do this movie, but if I’m going todoit, I’mgoing tohave to call Sony and have a very uncomfortableconversation”. He noted that Sony agreed to push the new Spider-Man movie out ofrespect for both himselfand forNolan.“Ithink one of the reasons why Sony were happy to move is because Chris has that reputation of, ‘This movie isn’t going to go five months over, and we aren’t actually going to loseTom for two years”, he said. Asked about his future as the superhero, Holland said, "Iwilldoit foraslongas they'll haveme.Soif thismoviedoes good, I guess we'll see!"
