SELECTED FOR THE
UPCOMING STATE MEET
THE Nagpur District Athletics
Association (NDAA) will be
organising the District Athletics
Championship for boys and girls
under the age groups of 14, 16,
18 and 20 years from August 4-6
at the synthetic track of
Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj
Nagpur University,Nagpur,
informs Dr Sharad Suryawanshi,
Secretary, NDAA through a press
release.
Dream Planner and Bharatiya
Vyayam Prasarak Mandal,
Nagpur will be collaborating for
hosting the competition. From
this competition, the district
team will be selected for the State
Junior Group Athletics
Championship to be held at
Dervan (Ratnagiri) from August
27 to 30.
Entries should be sent by the
concerned schools, colleges,
mandals and clubs to
[email protected]. Players who
have not registered with NDAA,
should pay a registration fee of
Rs 60 and an entry fee of Rs 250
per event. The last date for confirming entry is August 2.
Bib
numbers will be distributed on
August 3 from 3.00 to 5.00 pm at
the university ground.
Any number of players from
one school, college or club can
participate in an event. It is
mandatory to submit NDAA
identity card or a birth certificate issued by the Gram
Panchayat, Municipality,
Municipal Corporation, or State
Board of Secondary and Higher
Secondary Education along with
a copy of Aadhaar card.
A committee has been formed
under the chairmanship of
national coach Jitendra
Ghordadekar to select the athletes for the state championship.
Vaishali Phating, GajananThakre, Umakant Sangonde, DrBrijmohan Rawat, ShamsherKhan and RamchandraWani arethe members of the committee.
Organising Committee hasbeen formed under the chairmanship of ShekharSuryawanshi, Vice-President,
NDAA. Nagesh Sahare, PravinTong, Dr Vibekanand Singh, DrShriram Aglave, Seema Kashyapand Ritika Kinhekar are the committee members.
Ramchandra Wani is theConvenor; Archana Kottewar andGanesh Wani are the Co-ordinators while Dr SharadSuryawanshi is the organisingsecretary.
Various track and field eventswill be held during the three-daycompetitions.
There will be 23 events forUnder-20 men and womenincluding decathlon for men andheptathlon for women.
There will be 14 events for U18 boys and girls; ten for U-16boys and girls and six events forthe U-14 athletes.
