HOLLYWOOD star George Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, have evacuated their home in southeastern France as wildfires continue to rage across parts of Europe. The couple informed the Mayor of Brignoles, the historic town in southeastern France where they own a home, that they had evacuated their property, reported People magazine.

“At this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment,” they said in the letter. “As we evacuate Brignoles we want to emphasise two things, first we hope you and the people of our city are safe and second that Amal and I are committed to making sure that whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and we’ll be part of making it whole. We love Brignoles and our friends who live there,” they added. The Clooneys, who live in Brignoles with their nine-yearold twins, Alexander and Ella, are among thousands of residents forced to leave areas affected by the wildfires sweeping France, Spain, Italy and Greece
