CHANDRAPUR district’s Sagara Gram Panchayat (GP) in Bhadravati tehsil and Chintaldhaba GP in Pombhurna tehsil have been selected for divisional competition under the Mukhyamantri Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan. The final evaluation of both these GPs was done by the team led by Dr Manik Diwe, Additional Divisional Commissioner, Konkan and the President of Konkan Divisional Evaluation Committee.
 
The committee comprised Assistant Commissioner (Inspection) Manisha Devgune, Assistant Commissioner (Development) Dr Pradip Ghorpade, Committee Assistant Shyam Garje, Manager of Tehsil Abhiyan Harshal Parab and GP Officer Chetan Suresh Patil. The inspection of both the GPs was done taking into consideration eight factors under the campaign including all necessary records, village cleanliness through people’s participation, community hall construction through voluntary contribution of labour, homeless shelter, ‘Gorakshan’, gardens and beautification around the cemetery, library, ZP schools, Anganwadi, tree plantation, rainwater harvesting and other innovative works undertaken by the GPs. The committee lauded Shankar Rasekar, Administrator of Sagara GP for undertaking Mukhyamantri Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan.
 
Deputy Executive Officer (Panchayat) Meena Salunkhe, Sanket Talewar from Nagpur Divisional Commissioner Office, BDO Ashutosh Sapkal of Bhadravati Panchayat Samiti, Assistant BDO Dr Bandu Aknurwar, Poonam Gedam of Child Development Project, Deputy Engineer Garade, Live Stock Officer Dr Satish Agdate, Block Education Officer Dr Prakash Mahakalkar, Extension Officer Pranali Bhagwat, Shankar Rasekar, Administrator of Sagara GP, GP Officer Sushil Shinde, Vitthal Pijdurkar, Dinesh Asutkar, Archana Wagdarkar, Vijay Pachare, Rupesh Gedam, Anil Solanke and other officers and employees were present.
