Ten armed miscreants barged into a restaurant on Bangarasia Road under Misrod police jurisdiction late Saturday night, unleashing a violent assault on customers and staff. Armed with swords, knives, hockey sticks, and baseball bats, the gang vandalised the establishment and terrorised onlookers for nearly 49 seconds. The entire episode, which was captured on hotel closed-circuit television cameras, left multiple customers and intervening restaurant employees injured. The confrontation began when 24-year-old factory worker Liladhar Kushwaha and three friends were heading to the restaurant after finishing their shift. A speeding motorcycle collided with their vehicle, sparking a heated argument on the road. When Kushwaha and his companions protested the reckless riding, the motorcyclists began abusing and physically assaulting them, prompting the youths to seek refuge inside the nearby restaurant.

Hoping to escape the assault, the four youths rushed inside the hotel, but the assailants quickly mobilised a gang of ten to fifteen armed associates to storm the premises. The attackers damaged property, struck intervening staff members, and targeted Kushwaha, dragging him outside before slashing his neck and body with sharp weapons. Kushwaha sustained severe, life-threatening injuries and is currently undergoing emergency treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Misrod Police Station In-charge Vimlesh Rai confirmed that a case has been registered against three named suspects and several unidentified accomplices following a complaint by the hotel staff. Investigators have secured the security footage showing the armed suspects entering the hotel and launching the attack. Five suspects have been detained for questioning, and police have recorded formal statements from the injured victims at the hospital.
