“There can be no greater ‘Yagya’ than any act performed in service of the nation during the times of crises,” said Padma Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, Chairman, Solar Industries India Ltd, while addressing his felicitation by All World Gayatri Pariwar at Gayatri Shaktipeeth on Sunday. He was felicitated for being awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India earlier this year. Sharad Paradhy, Vice-Chancellor, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar; Atul Pande, Dr Pushpa Hazare, Gayatri Pariwar Trust Nagpur; Rupchand Goplani, Vinay Hazare, Amrut Patel and Subhash Sharma also shared the dais. Padma Shri Nuwal, in his address, emphasised on the importance of self-improvement for improving the society.

“Self-improvement is the greatest service to humanity. While changing the entire world may be difficult, changing our own perspective can transform the world we see,” he said. Nuwal urged people to focus on self-transformation as the foundation for national service. “Our own upliftment should be the starting point. When we build ourselves, we become capable of serving the nation more effectively,” he said, adding that true change begins with an individual’s thoughts and actions. He also credited the values learned at Gayatri Pariwar for the success in his life. Sharad Paradhy, in his address, described Nuwal as a source of pride for Gayatri Pariwar. Drawing references from Ishavasya Upanishad, he said Nuwal’s life exemplifies the virtues of a householder worthy of becoming the abode of the Divine. He elaborated on Nuwal’s contribution by citing verses from the ancient scripture. Atul Pande, in his introductory remarks, recalled Nuwal’s long association with the Gayatri Pariwar.

He said Nuwal was among the key members who provided leadership during construction of Gayatri Shaktipeeth in Nagpur. Pande also noted that Nuwal came under the guidance of Gurudeo Pt Shriram Sharma Acharya from an early age through his father, who was a devoted disciple of the spiritual leader. Earlier, Padma Shri Nuwal was welcomed by showering rose petals from entrance to the venue hall where he was being felicitated. Numerous members of the Gayatri Pariwar had arrived from various districts of Vidarbha to attend the felicitation ceremony of Nuwal. The programme concluded with felicitation of Padma Shri Nuwal along with his wife by various members of Gayatri Pariwar for his contribution to the society and his continued commitment to the ideals of Gayatri Pariwar. Devendra Vyas, Rekha Bajaj and Sanjay Kale, trustees were also prominently present for the programme. Ashish Shrivastava compered the programme, while Jayashri Kale proposed a vote of thanks.
