To dispel citizens’ suspicion and clear the air on billing pattern through smart (ToD) meters, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) is going to hold camps across the city on Wednesday. With growing unease among citizens after receiving bills for consumption during the summer which they feel are highly inflated, the camp offers and opportunity to get them cross checked and clear the confusion. The pro-active step on the part of MSEDCL which is targeting replacing all electricity meters with ToD which they claim is more beneficial to consumers as it offers rebate of 85 paise for day time use of power. The camps will be held from 9 am to 2 pm and Deputy Engineers and technicians are going to explain the working of smart meters and also answer any queries to clear misconceptions.

 

The camp locations are Mangalwari Complex Square (Sadar), Indora Square (Kamptee Road), Gittikhadan Square (Katol Road), Royal Plaza Apartments (Prabha City, Zingabai Takli), Gorewada Square, Dikshit Nagar (Lashkaribagh), and near Ginger Mall (Jaripatka). In Congress Nagar Division: Shankar Nagar Square, Godhani Nagar Panchayat (Fetri), Rana Pratap Nagar Square, Trimurti Nagar Square, Regent Sub-Division (Variety Square, Chhatrapati Square), and Hudkeshwar Subdivision (Besa Square).

 

Under Gandhibagh Division: Itwari (Nanga Putla Square, Shahid Square, Telephone Exchange Square), and in Wardhaman Nagar Sub-Division at Shantinagar Branch Office, Pardi/Subhanagar Sub-Division, and Binaki Sub-Division. In Mahal Division: Tukdoji Putla (Manewada), Narendra Nagar Square, Subhedar Subdivision, Wathoda Subdivision, ST Stand Square, and Ramna Maroti Square. Additionally, in the Butibori Division, the customer meets will be held at Hingna (Rai Nagar), Nagar Panchayat Butibori Square, MIDC-1 (Royal Park, Vaibhavnagar Dhaba), and MIDC-2 (Gram Panchayat Nildoh).
