Madhotal Police have arrested three youths involved in loot with a 66-year-old retired Government employee. The accused were taken out at police station in form of juloos for drawing the attention of residents and passers-by. According to Madhotal Police, the victim, Munnalal Patel (66), a resident of Karmeta and a retired employee of the Irrigation Department was returning home with vegetables and fruits on Tuesday. When he reached the turn near Maa Rewa Colony, three men on a motorcycle intercepted him and snatched his mobile phone and cash.

 

Patel chased the accused while raising an alarm, but the trio threatened him and escaped from the spot. He later reached at Madhotal police station with the help of his family and lodged the complaint. During the investigation, police raided several suspected hideouts and succeeded in apprehending Rahul Choudhary (24), son of Kamlesh Choudhary, Abhishek Choudhary (22), son of Barelal Choudhary and Sumit alias Annu Choudhary (20) from the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone and cash from the accused. Investigators are now questioning the trio to ascertain their possible involvement in other criminal incidents reported in the city.
