VIDARBHA Cricket Association
will be felicitating its senior
men’s team for winning the
maiden Vijay Hazare Trophy
2025–26, marking the association’s first-ever white-ball tournament title.
The programme will be held
on Sunday at VCA Recreation
Club, Jamtha at 5.30 pm.
Former ICC Chairman and
BCCI and VCA President
Shashank Manohar will be the
chief guest of the function.
Former India cricketer and
renowned coach Pravin Amre
will be the guest of
honour.
The Harsh Dubey-led side
defeated Saurashtra by 38 runs
in the final played at BCCI’s
Centre of Excellence in
Bengaluru in January.
Batting first, Vidarbha posted
317-8 in 50 overs, thanks to
Atharva Taide’s 128 runs off 118
balls. Yash Rathod contributed
54. Saurashtra were then bundled
out for 279 in 48.5 overs. Yash
Thakur took four wickets in the
final.
Earlier in the quarter-finals,
Vidarbha defeated Delhi andthen ousted Karnataka in the last
four battle.
Prolific batter Aman Mokhadewas the highest scorer of the tournament with 814 runs from 10games with five centuries and afifty.
Fast bowler Yash Thakur finished fourth in the bowlers list
with 19 scalps from nine games.
On the occasion, Dubey andThakur, who recently represented the Indian team in different
formats, will also be felicitated,
