SUPREME Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Judge of Orissa High Court Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra from the Orissa High Court to the Chhattisgarh High Court. The meeting of the Supreme Court Collegium was held in New Delhi on August 6. The recommendation is subject to the approval of the Central government and the issuance of the requisite transfer notifications. Justice K.R. Mohapatra had enrolled as an Advocate in Orissa State Bar Council on February 7, 1988. He has experience of 26 years at the Bar in different branches of Law including Civil, Service, Criminal and Constitution etc.

 

Guardians and Wards Act, Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act, Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act etc. He has worked as Additional Standing Counsel for the State as well as Orissa Public Service Commission. He was advocate for Central Cooperative Banks Limited., Keonjhar, National Institute of Open Schooling under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi and Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited, Bank of Baroda etc. He was elevated as Judge of the Orissa High Court on April 17, 2015.
