CONGRESS workers staged a protest
under the banner of Urban District
Congress Committee (UDCC) Raipur
at Dr Ambedkar Chowk Collectorate
in the state capital on Monday to register a protest against increasing
crimes in the State capital.
The Congress workers burnt the
effigy of the State Government. The
Congress workers raised slogans
against Deputy Chief Minister and
State Home Minister Vijay Sharma
and BJP MLAs during the protest.
UDCC Raipur President
Shreekumar Shankar Menon said that
the State Government had failed to
check crimes in the State capital
even after implementing Police
Commissionerate System.
Crimes are
at peak in the BJP rule in the State
capital, he added.
BJP MP from Raipur Lok Sabha Brijmohan Agrawal, BJP
MLAs Rajesh Munat, Sunil Soni, Purandar Mishra and
Motilal Sahu are mum over deteriorating law and order situation in the State capital, he added.
UDCC Raipur President Sheekumar Shankar Menon,
Pramod Dubey, Kuldeep Juneja, Sushant Dey, Sachin Agrawal,
Dr Anuram Sahu, Pravin Chandrakar, Deepak Choubey, Raj
Dewangan, Sundar Jogi, Javed Naqui, Om Sriwas, Suresh
Jain, Sujeet Singh Suresh Dhivar, Anjuman Dhebar, Raj
Dewangan, Kamal Dhritlahre, Mamta Rai, Ganga Yadav,
Mohammad Tahir, Vijay Tandon, Nadu Sinha, Sattu Singh,
Satish Sahu, Munna Mishra, Preeti Soni, Mahendra Sen,
Sanjay Soni, Mohsin Khan, Raju Dubey, Sreenath Bhogal
and other Congress leaders participated in the protest.
