TEXTILE major Arvind Limited is expanding its industrial footprint in Madhya Pradesh by setting up manufacturing units across three strategic locations, PM MITRA Park in Dhar, Barlai near Dewas, and Betma in Indore. The announcement follows a high-level meeting between Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and top executives of the Arvind Group, including Vice Chairman Punit Lalbhai and Executive Director Kulin Lalbhai, during the Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Ahmedabad. A central highlight of Arvind Group’s expansion is the proposed Rs 1,200 crore investment at the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, where the company has been allotted 105 acres of land. Production at the Dhar facility is slated to begin by next year. Beyond textile manufacturing, discussions between state leadership and the group covered eco-friendly industrial infrastructure, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) circular water economy solutions in industrial parks, and potential collaboration on mission-critical wireless communication networks for Simhastha2028.

The broader interactive session in Ahmedabad yielded total investment proposals worth Rs 8,635 crore across diverse sectors, generating an estimated 5,785 direct employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Over 500 industrialists and investors from key hubs, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Vadodara, participated in the session. Addressing the investors, Chief Minister Dr Yadav described MP and Gujarat as twin brothers, highlighting how Gujarat’s industrial expertise combined with MP’s land bank, water resources, and central logistics advantage can drive mutual growth. Several major investment proposals were finalised during the event. Goldcrest Cement announced a Rs 3,000 crore commitment creating 1,500 jobs, while Ageos Polyfilms Pvt. Ltd. pledged Rs 2,500 crore in packaging, generating 1,000 jobs. Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd. proposed Rs 1,200 crore in food processing, Eris Lifesciences Ltd. committed Rs 500 crore in pharmaceuticals, Raghav Woven LLP pledged Rs 250 crore in textiles, and Bhavya Machine Tools invested Rs 250 crore in engineering.
