Hareli Tiharí was celebrated with enthusiasm at the official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on Wednesday. Arun Sao worshipped the cow and agricultural tools such as the plough, pickaxe, and hoe. He placed a neem branch-a symbol of good health and greenery-at the entrance of his home. On the occasion of Hareli, he prayed to the Almighty for good rainfall, prosperity, and flourishing crops across the State. Extending his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Hareli, Deputy Chief Minister Sao stated that Hareli is a festival deeply rooted in the soil, agriculture, and folk culture of Chhattisgarh.

 

It offers a glimpse into the stateís rich folk traditions, including the ëGedií tradition. Hareli reflects the essence of our culture and the spirit of rural life. This festival embodies a sense of reverence for nature and farmers who provide our food. Chhattisgarhi folk traditions and festivals define our cultural identity, and it is our responsibility to preserve and promote them, he added.
