BHAVAN’S Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti claimed the Under-12 boys title while teams from Delhi Public School (DPS) MIHAN clinched the Under-14 and Under-17 boys crown as it was curtains on the Pro Vice Chairperson’s CupFutsal Tournament at DPS MIHAN ground. Bhavan’s Ashti defeated Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar 2-1 to claim the Under-12 boys title. Rihan Sharma was the star performer for the winning side, scoring both goals.Yashwin Khadilkar scored the lone goal for Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar. In Under-14 boys summit clash, host DPS MIHAN defeated Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar 3-1 on penalties. Goalkeeper Aditya Bang produced an important save to help DPS MIHAN secure the title. Daksh Yadav, Videsh Swaminathan and Atharv Mishra successfully converted their penalties. In Under-17 girls final, DPS Lava beat DPS MIHAN 2-1 in shoot-out where Aarya Thakre and Vishweshree were instrumental in the winning effort. In Under-17 boys final, DPS MIHAN edged past DPS Kamptee Road 2-1 also in shoot-out after the scores were locked at 1-1 in regulation time.

 

Aditya Khambre (DPS MIHAN) and Saish Lanjewar (DPS Kamptee Road) scored in regulation. In shoot-out, Bhavya Turkar and Arnav Uprade converted their penalties to lift the Under-17 boys title. Dr Stanley Gregory, Secretary, Nagpur District Football Association was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. Pro Vice Chairperson Tulika Kedia, Director Savita Jaiswal and Principal Nidhi Yadav conveyed their wishes to all the finalist Abhilash Bhusari, Head of the Department of Sports, DPS MIHAN, and his entire team worked hard for the success of the event. U-14 Boys: Player of the Tournament: Laksh Meshram (DPS MIHAN); Best Goalkeeper: Aditya Bang (DPS MIHAN). Under-17 Girls: Player of the Tournament: Aarya Thakre (DPS Lava); Best Goalkeeper: Adhya Lakudkar (DPS MIHAN). U-17 Boys: Player of the Tournament: Shashank Singh (DPS Kamptee Road); Best Goalkeeper: Rudra Shende (DPS MIHAN).
