6 Nagpur Personnel get President’s Police Medal

Six police officers and personnel from Nagpur have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs announced the awards on the eve of Independence Day. The awardees include Dr Digambar Pandurang Pradhan, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Nagpur; Vaibhav Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime); Prashant Radhakrishna Kulkarni, VIce-Principal, Police Training Centre (PTC); and Police Inspector Pradeep Vasantrao Chaugaokar of PTC.
 
Head Constables Sanjay Talware and Rajkumar Janbandhu, serving at Nagpur Central Jail, have also been selected for the medal. Dr Pradhan is currently posted as SP with the ACB and known for his unblemished service record. ACB Jadhav recently took charge as ACP (Crime). He has earlier served as a Police Inspector in Nagpur city and Nagpur Rural and worked at various police stations. Kulkarni is serving as VicepPrincipal at the Police Training Centre. Chaugavkar is also attached to the training centre. Janbandhu are serving as clerks to Additional Commissioner of Police Vinita Sahu. Their selection recognises their meritorious service in the police department.
