THE 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation headquarters. Mayor J a g a t B a h a d u r Singh hoisted the national flag and extended Independence Day greetings to the citizens, officers and employees of the civic body. Addressing the gathering, the Mayor said the Municipal Corporation would continue to serve the people with dedication. He said public service would remain the JMC’s highest priority. He also prayed to Maa Narmada for peace, prosperity and happiness in every family of Sanskardhani.

 

The Mayor said that youth are in accordance with government guidelines. Congratulating the promoted staff, the Mayor said the decision would boost morale and bring new enthusiasm to the civic workforce, leading to faster development works. The ceremony concluded with patriotic slogans, distribution of sweets and a pledge to continue working for the progress of Jabalpur. Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash Ahirwar proposed a vote of thanks, while Education Officer Dr. Shailendra Pandey conducted the programme. JMC President Rinku Vij, Leader of Opposition Amrish Mishra, Mayor in Council members, Corporators, Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash Ahirwar, officers and a large number of employees were present on the occasion.
