CELEBRATIONS of the 80th Independence Day was held with dignity and patriotic spirit at the Principal Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur. Acting Chief Justice Justice Vivek Rusia hoisted the National Flag in the presence of judges, lawyers and court staff. Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at the Mediation and Conciliation Centre and the Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy. Justice Anand Pathak and Justice Vivek Kumar Agrawal attended the programmes. All judges of the High Court participated in the celebration with their families.

 

Advocate General Prashant Singh, senior officers of the Advocate General's Office, office bearers of Bar Associations, advocates, legal experts, and court employees were also present. A major highlight of the event was the inauguration of a fully equipped life-support ambulance by Acting Chief Justice Vivek Rusia. The ambulance was donated by the Union Bank Social Foundation Trust under the CSR initiative of Union Bank of India and handed over to the High Court Health Dispensary. The ambulance will provide emergency medical assistance to litigants, advocates, court staff, and visitors on the High Court campus.
