LIGHTto moderate showers continued to lash Jabalpur for the second consecutive day, bringing pleasant weather across the city. Intermittent rain, overcast skies and cool winds kept daytime temperatures below normal and provided much-needed relief from humid conditions. The city recorded 54 mm of rainfall during the last two days. The maximum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, which was 3.4 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was 24.2 degrees Celsius, while humidity remained between 95 and 98 percent. Rain was reported from almost all parts of the city. Waterlogging was seen at a few low-lying stretches, but traffic remained largely normal as showers continued at intervals throughout the day. The local weather department forecast for light to moderate degrees Celsius, while humidity remained between 95 and 98 percent.

Rain was reported from almost all parts of the city. Waterlogging was seen at a few low-lying stretches, but traffic remained largely normal as showers continued at intervals throughout the day. The local weather department forecast for light to moderate rainfall in Jabalpur over the next 24 hours. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph are also likely at isolated places. Residents have been advised to stay alert during storm activity and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy spells. The ongoing rainy spell is being influenced by an active low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to keep monsoon activity strong across the Jabalpur division for the next couple of days.
