to the Shivling. Many observed
fasts and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of their
families. Special Rudrabhishek
and other religious rituals were held at several temples
throughout the day.

Shiva was done at Gupteshwar
Mahadev Temple.

crowds were also seen at the
ancient Gaurinath Mahadev
Temple, where Kanwariyas carrying holy Narmada water performed Jalabhishek amid
chants of "Har Har Mahadev."
Thousands of devotees also
offered flags at the Maa Sharda
Devi Temple in Madan Mahal
and other temples as part of
the traditional Shravan observance.
