CHIEF Minister Dr Mohan Yadav
inaugurated two modern, hightech manufacturing units of the
Pratap Group - Corsis Industries
and Walters Technologies - at
Smart Industrial Park in
Pithampur. Built with a combined investment of Rs 850 crore,
these units mark a major leap in
high-technology manufacturing
and clean energy while unlocking hundreds of new job opportunities for the region’s youth.

Empowering youth with
modern technology
EMPHASISING that youth
employment remains the
Government’s top priority, Dr
Yadav highlighted India’s position as the world’s youngest
major nation. He stated that
establishing futuristic industries
- such as optical fibre and lithium battery production - is essential to harnessing young talent.
Developed with German technological support, these state-ofthe-art facilities incorporate
Industry 4.0 automation and
robotic assembly lines. To further
incentivise job creation, the State
Government offers financial
assistance of up to Rs 5,000 per
worker to employment-generating units, alongside robust infrastructure support.
‘Symbol of changing
industrial landscape’
UNION Minister Gajendra Singh
Shekhawat lauded the milestone, noting that the inauguration symbolises India’s rapid movement toward economic
self-reliance under PM Modi’s
leadership. He observed that
the battery storage plant will
power India’s clean energy transition, while the optical fibre
facility will significantly bolster digital connectivity. He further added that the group currently provides direct and indirect employment to 30,000
people, with ongoing skill training for over 2,000 youths.
Key project breakdown
CORSIS Industries:
Established over 8,067
square metres with an annual capacity of 5.5 million fibre
kilometres, this plant generates around 300 direct and
indirect jobs. It manufactures
optical fibre essential for 5G
networks, broadband, data
centres, and smart city infrastructure.
Walters Technologies
Private Limited: Spanning
20,505 square metres with a 3
GWh production capacity, this
battery storage facility creates
nearly 250 direct and indirect
jobs. It will cater to commercial energy integration and
India's green transition.
