FOLLOWING a call from Rail
Madad 139, Jabalpur Railway
Division staff responded promptly and provided immediate medical assistance to a pregnant
woman experiencing labor pains
on a train.
According to information, a
woman traveling on coach S-3,
seat number 31, of train number
11033, was experiencing severe
labor pains. Upon receiving the
information from the War Room
Rail Madad 139, Jabalpur
Division responded swiftly.
Deputy Station Manager
(Commercial), Ashish Chadha,
contacted Atul Rao, staff at
Ananya Clinic, and provided
immediate medical assistance.
The paramedical staff examined the woman and, given her
condition, advised immediate
hospitalisation.
Following this,
the woman was transported by
a railway ambulance to Rani
Durgavati Hospital, Jabalpur,
where she was admitted for
necessary treatment. The
woman has been identified as
Savita (24 years old). She was
traveling with her husband
from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus
to Darbhanga.
The woman’s family
expressed gratitude to the
Jabalpur Division staff for this
prompt and sensitive action
by the Railways and commended their promptness and
human sensitivity. The Jabalpur
Railway Division has appealed
to passengers to immediately
inform Rail Madad 139 in case
of any emergency during their
journey, so that necessary assistance can be provided in a timely manner.
