Track Star Athletics Club’s Janhvi Bawane and KF Foundation’s Pranay Upase will lead the Nagpur Under-14 district teams in the 40th Maharashtra State Junior Athletics Championship to be held on the synthetic track of SVJS, Dervan, Ratnagiri. The meet will be held under the auspices of Maharashtra State Athletics Association from September 27 to 30. Nagpur District Athletics Association (NDAA) Secretary Dr Sharad Suryawanshi announced the teams. The selection committee headed by Jitendra Ghordadekar included international runners Vaishali Fating, Gajanan Thakre, Umakant Sangode, Dr Brijmohan Rawat, Shamsher Khan and Ramchandra Wani.

 

Gajanan Thakre (girls) and Jitendra Ghordadekar (boys) will be the coaches of teams while Umakant Sangode and Shamsher Khan will be the managers. The teams: Under-14 years: Pranay Upase (C) Rishikesh Dasari (Triathlon), Harsh Deep (Triathlon), Sundaram Kumar (Triathlon), Pritam Gaidhane Triathlon. Under 14 girls: Janhvi Bawane (C), Janhvi Kalle (Triathlon), Sharvari Thakre (Triathlon), Tanisha Chaudhary (Triathlon), Rakshita Hirekar (Triathlon), Swara Bhivagde Triathlon, Kanak Acharya (100m).
