A MAJOR accident involving Chhattisgarh’s Forest and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap’s convoy was narrowly avoided in Kondagaon district on Sunday afternoon. The Minister was travelling from his native village, Farsaguda, towards Kondagaon when a Scorpio coming from the opposite direction collided with his car near Junwani. The impact caused the Scorpio to lose control before it crashed into the follow vehicle accompanying the convoy. The escort vehicle was badly damaged, and four police personnel travelling in it were injured. The injured personnel were immediately taken to Kondagaon District Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.Preliminary inputs indicate that Minister Kedar Kashyap escaped without serious injury and is safe.
 
According to the information, the Scorpio first struck the minister’s vehicle near Junwani before veering into the escort vehicle. The collision caused panic at the scene and prompted an immediate response from police and administrative officials. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, including the Scorpio driver’s actions and the sequence of events leading to the collision.
