THE Jabalpur Municipal
Corporation has started a citywide road repair and improvement drive after monsoon damage. The work is being carried out
under the guidance of Mayor
Jagat Bahadur Singh and
Municipal Commissioner Ram
Prakash Ahirwar.
Senior officials informed that
roads are damaged every year
during the rainy season. As the
weather improves, repair work
begins alongside regular monitoring of damaged stretches.
The Municipal Corporation is
repairing roads in major markets, public places and residential colonies.
Improvement work
is also being carried out on the
approach roads to Gwarighat
and Tilwaraghat, which are used
daily by a large number of devotees visiting river Narmada.
Municipal Commissioner
Ahirwar inspected the repair
work with technical officials and
directed them to maintain quality and complete the work in a
planned manner.
The JMC administration has
instructed Divisional
Engineers to prepare a list of
damaged roads across the city.
Repair, resurfacing and reconstruction work will be taken up
on priority to provide safer
roads for residents.
