KERALAM’S Kejiah Liz Mejo has been crowned as Miss Universe India 2026 in a glittering ceremony here. She will now represent India at the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico this November.
The grand finale of the event took place on August 23 and brought together talent from across India.
Mejo, a 19-year-old law student and model, won the prestigious title of Miss Universe India 2026. Vaishnavi Ganesh from Tamil Nadu was named the first runner-up, while Anushri Satavlekar from Gujarat secured the second runner-up position.
The event featured the contestants selected from across the country, who showcased their talent, personality, confidence, communication skills and understanding of Indian culture through various rounds of the competition.
Mejo said the title is a “great responsibility”. “This title is not just an achievement for me; it is a great responsibility. Representing India on an international platform is a matter of immense pride and honour. Through this opportunity, I hope to showcase India’s diversity, culture, talent and the strength of its new generation.”
Nikhil Anand, Owner of Miss Universe India, added, “The objective of Miss Universe India is to provide talented young women from different parts of country with a national platform where they can showcase talent, confidence and leadership abilities to the world.”
