CENTRE Point School (CPS), WardhamanNagar’s boys and girls claimed top spots in the Nagpur District-Level Skating Roll Ball Championship which concludedrecentlyatBhaskar Vyas Skating Rink, near Akash Building, East Wardhaman Nagar. CPSboys and girls alsobooked their spots to represent Nagpur district in the upcoming StateLevel Roll Ball Championships. CPSweredeclaredchampions in the Under-11 and Under-14 categories in both boys and girls categories respectively. In the Under-11 boys category,CPS was followedbyThe SwaminarayanSchoolat thesecondspotandDelhiPublicSchool, Kamptee at the third. InUnder-11girls,CPSbeatThe Swaminarayan School to finish first. Delhi Public School Speed Skating Academy finished third. InUnder-14boyscategory,CPS pipped Delhi Public School to clinch the top spot, while the thirdposition was secured by The Swaminarayan School.

The Under-14 Boys and Girls State-LevelChampionshipwillbe held on August 29-30 at Satara, whilethe Under-11 Boys and GirlsState-LevelChampionship will be held on October 3-4 at Yavatmal. At the outset, the championship was inaugurated in thepresence of senior social workerChetanaRajuTank,alongwithDada Sawarkar,DheerajLoyaand RavindraShivankar. ShailendraParashar,Secretary, Nagpur District Roll Ball Association; KiranParashar, Shailesh Dhoble,AdityaChatapalliwar,KaustubhKubde, Snehal Chatapalliwar, Mumuksha Bhalkar,Amol Nandurkar,Amit Ingle,Kalyani Kubde,Meet Sinha, AvnishBankoti,KishorDhoreandBhatiaworked hardfor the success of the event. The complete technical planning, management and execution of the championship was handledbyinternationalrollball player and coach Swapnil Samarth.
