GULSHAN Pahade and Parvati lifted men and women’s singles titles in the 3rd DRM Challenge Cup Badminton Tournament that was hosted at the Central Railway Institute, Ajni. Thefour-day event,organised by the Divisional Sports Association,Nagpur Division, CentralRailway,received enthusiastic participation of railway employees as over 70 male and female participated in it. The tournament featured five events -men’s singles,women’s singles,men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Railway employees displayed excellent sporting skills,competitive spirit, discipline and team spirit throughout the fourday tournament.

 

In the men’s singles, Gulshan (TRO) emerged as the winner while Yogesh (Engineering) secured the runner-up position. In women’s singles, Parvati (Mechanical) won the title and Vibhuti(TRS) finished as the runner-up. In the mixed doubles event, the pair of Shravanand Priti (TRS)emerged victorious getting thebetter of the pair of Satyendra and Shital (RPF)secured the runner-up position. Central Railway,Nagpur Division, continues to encourage sports and recreational activities amongits employees to promote a healthy and active lifestyle along with a positive work environment.
