MEETING his childhood idol Shah Rukh Khan and then getting an opportunity to work with him in King was a dream come true for actor Abhay Verma, who is garnering critical acclaim for his role of an air force officer in Operation Safed Sagar. Verma said he was elated to know thatShahRukhrecognisedhim from hisworkin horror-comedyMunjya. "I didn't kno w thatI would get such a beautiful opportunity (to work with SRK) so soon in my life... The legend that he is, he doesn't make you feel like who he is. I met him for the first time and was really nervous, I could hear my heartbeat," Verma told PTI in an interview. The actor said after his meeting with Shah Rukh, he was overcome with self doubt. "After going back to my hotel, I thought'Oh, s***, Ijustmet the hero of my life. Was I okay? Did I behave properly? I hope I didn't disappoint himin anyotherway'.So,allof those thingsweregoing through my mind."

"I auditioned for King and the audition got to him and he said, 'That Munjya guy, he'll be really good for this'. For me, there's nothing bigger than that because him knowing my name, and on top of that, my work -- I learned everything by seeing him -- meant a lot for me," the actor said about the film.
