In a significant step towards academic and institutional development, IIM Nagpur and Ramdeobaba University (RBU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The five-year MoU covers management development, faculty and student exchange, internships, collaborative research, doctoral co-supervision, publications, and joint academic programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyanarayan Nuwal, Padma Shri awardee, Chairman of Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti (SRSS) expressed his satisfaction at the collaboration with IIM and highlighted the potential of the partnership to create new opportunities for academic, institutional and knowledge exchange.
Highlighting the central role of faculty in building strong institutions, Nuwal stressed that competence must go hand in hand with credibility, commitment and a clear sense of purpose.
He expressed confidence that the collaboration would enable both institutions to share expertise, explore new possibilities and undertake initiatives of mutual value.
Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, described the MoU as “a new beginning” in the relationship between the two institutions, and said RBU has immense potential to emerge as an institution of greater national and global standing.
The partnership combines IIM Nagpur’s management expertise with RBU’s multidisciplinary strengths, fostering collaboration in education, research, faculty development and institutional growth.
The MoU was formalised by Dr Rajesh Pande, Vice Chancellor on behalf of RBU, and Dr Metri, on behalf of IIM Nagpur in the presence of Satyanarayan Nuwal, Rajendra Purohit, General Secretary, SRSS, Dr Meghana Hasamnis, Incharge -National & International Relations, RBU, Prof. Alok Kumar Singh, Dean (Executive Education), IIM Nagpur.
