Giving a fresh impetus to the holistic development and sustainable growth of rural Nagpur, MLA Charansingh Thakur on Monday visited Mauza Shivasawanga under the Katol division of MSEDCL to inspect the ongoing construction of the new 132 KV substation. During his visit, MLA Thakur took a comprehensive review of the project’s progress. Expressing deep satisfaction, he noted that the construction is moving in the right direction, maintaining high quality standards, and progressing at a rapid pace. The demand for an Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation in this belt had been pending for several years among local residents and farmers. With the expanding regional footprint and rising energy demands, the need for robust infrastructure had become critical.
 
Once operational, the new 132 kV substation will modernise and strengthen the power distribution network across Bazargaon, Kondhali, and adjacent regions, ensuring uninterrupted power supply. Authorities expressed strong confidence that the project will provide reliable electricity for farm irrigation, boost local industries and businesses, and improve the overall standard of living for residents. On the occasion, Thakur gave clear instructions to the executing agencies to complete the project strictly within the scheduled deadline while maintaining top construction quality and momentum.
 
MSETCL Chief Engineer Satish Ane and MSEDCL Rural Circle Superintending Engineer Sanjay Wakde briefed the MLA on the technical aspects, construction phases, and overall physical progress achieved so far. The inspection was attended by senior officials and engineers from both MSETCL and MSEDCL, along with agency representatives including - Narendra Katare, Executive Engineer, Katol Division; Nilesh Bhagat, Deputy Executive Engineer, Kondhali; Rajesh Taywade, Assistant Engineer, and Vijay Dhawad, Senior Technician. Sanjay Wadhe, Executive Engineer - MSETCL; and others were also present.
