Amravati, Aug 4 The 33/11-kV Januna Power Substation, operating under the Badnera Sub-Division of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification following comprehensive modernization and upgradation in line with international quality standards. The ISO certificate was formally presented in the presence of MSEDCL Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke, who congratulated the team on achieving the international quality benchmark. Speaking on the occasion, Dodke highlighted that the operational quality of power substations is directly tied to customer service excellence. He noted that a reliable electricity supply plays a vital role in enhancing ease of living, making the Januna substation's milestone a matter of pride for the entire Amravati Circle. Superintending Engineer Deepak Devhate stated that Januna is the second MSEDCL substation in Amravati district to earn ISO certification, following the 33-kV Loni (Takli) substation, which received the distinction in October 2024.

 

He encouraged engineers and staff across the division to emulate this achievement in their respective operational areas. The Januna substation ensures quality power distribution through five dedicated feeders, servicing key industrial consumers—including Air India—alongside 15 rural industries, the Chori Mauli village feeder, and the Januna and Savner agricultural feeders.

 

The modernisation and infrastructure strengthening were spearheaded by Deputy Executive Engineer Jayant Ghate, Assistant Engineer Sudam Pakdhane, Senior Operator Sanjay Kamble, and operators Mahesh Jadhav, Roshan Dakre, and Kamlesh Shringare, along with local security personnel. The event was attended by Executive Engineers Pradeep Andhare, Amit Bute, and Rajesh Mahulkar; Deputy Chief Industrial Relations Officer Ramgopal Ahir; Deputy Legal Officer Prashant Sahane; and Deputy Executive Engineer Jayant Ghate. Sujata Javanjalkar compered the programme, and Sudam Pakdhane proposed a vote of thanks.
